In January of 1918 Chase wanted to reclaim possession of the farm but King would not leave. |

The brief consists mainly of letters between the defendant to the plaintiff with the defendant updating him on the status of paying his debt. The defendant seems to have trouble. At one point he mentions how during the war he lost everything except his land and that the planting of cotton is not as good as it used to be. The two parties appear to be cousins. |
