View Entry 1932 State v. Van Wilder Haywood Liquor Violation

Wilder was reported to the sheriff by W. V. Whitten. Sheriff issued a search warrant, and found Wilder, owner/operator of a hotel in Brownsville, in possession of intoxicating liquors violating many liquor laws.

Dowdy was accused of unlawfully and willfully kill/murder Ira Davis, with a knife. Dfnt. claimed self defense. Punishment was 2 years at the Agricultural and Training School.
