Howard sued Chandler for taking a rifle from the property to his damage $1000. Court ruled in favor of plaintiff. Defendant appealed. Defendant charges plaintiff delivered gun to him voluntarily. Chandler was gun agent who delivered guns to rebels rather than having them take the guns without pay or receipt. Defendant charges that plaintiff gave gun knowing it would be used to aid rebellion and that transaction was illegal and plaintiff not entitled to recover. Court sided with defendant. |

Cafer was anti-secession & defendants were pro-secession. Defendants took Cafer prisoner when he was en route to vote against secession. |

Case sought to assign water rights, as water had been diverted from one property to another. When the land was originally purchased by Rush, it supposedly included a waterway.
