Dyer was a minor under the age of 21 and brought suit through next friend M. M. McCaslin. Dyer was married to Johnnie Dyer, an employee at the dfnt. Corporation. On Dec. 11, 1923 he "fell into an open vat of hot water and was almost entirely submerged therein, where in and where by he was hurt, wounded, and scalded fatally" causing his death on Dec. 12.

J. T. Davis made an oath stating that he was entitled to the possession of one black horse mule, 8 years old. Davis claims that Elmer Guy unlawfully seized and detained the mule from Sternberger-Rainey Hardware Company. The mule was seized by Guy from Sam H. Bond to satisfy a mortgage on the mule. Dr. F. W. Whitehurst obtained a judgement against Bond and the mule was seized to be sold "as required by law." Bond also put the mule up as collateral on notes owed to Sternerger-Rainey Hardware Company .

Additional Defendants: Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Texas Pacific Railway Company and Southern Railway Company. Origin of Debt: medical bill.

Additional defendant: Robert E. Palmer. Ropeke seeks $15,000 damages for personal injuries. He purchased a house from the defendants and, about five or six months after the purchase, the fireplace mantel fell on his foot and injured it.

Plaintiffs sued defendants for $75.00, $5,000.00, and $2,500.00 for damages and personal injury, respectively. They were in an automobile collision with defendants who were at fault. Additional defendants: I. B. Berry, I. B. Lowthorpe. Exhibits: photographs.

The suits seek damages for personal injuries sustained during an auto accident where a Ford Coupe collided with a street car on Royal Street in Jackson, Tennessee. Freda Essie Porter (Paul) is the daughter of Essie Porter.

Miss Turner sued the Southern Motor Car Company and Richard J. Rawlings individually for damages in the amount of $15000.00. On Dec. 20, 1926 the plaintiff was riding in a Ford automobile, on Union Ave., with her brother Fred. Dfnt. Rawlings driving a Cadillac at a reckless rate of speed. Without warning, the Cadillac came from the north to the south side of Union Ave. and crashed into the plaintiff's car head on near 1811 Union Ave. Some files found with State v. Frank Abels, et al. (WT2156).

Fleming sued Makowsky for debt due from a breach of a rental contract for the upstairs portion of 288 North Main Street, Memphis.

Married in March 1920, Maggie moved out in June 1922. After moving out she twice attempted to file for divorce for cruel and inhumane treatment, but was denied. D. D.filed this bill for divorce on the same grounds, based only on the two previous attempts. Housed in 2 folders.

Southern Surety Company was a corporation located in Des Moines, IA who was qualified to do business in TN. Additional defendant: W. E. Dunn, resident agent of Southern Surety Co. Debt due by a policy of insurance issued to plaintiff by defendant on 6/28/1926. Policy #730943 insured plaintiff against accident and sickness. Plaintiff had paid premiums and policy was in full force on 9/1/26. Plaintiff had appendicitis. Sues for indemnity provided in policy plus statutory penalty.
