C.G. Taylor was admr. of the estate of J.W. Anderson, deceased. C. G. Taylor sued the defendants for damages as a result of negligence in the death of J. W. Anderson. Around Oct. 23, 1929 Anderson was assisting 2 carpenters in the employ of the defendant s in the placing of some window frames. While he was supporting one of these frames, it slipped, fell on a supporting 2 by 4 which broke and one piece of the 2 by four hit Anderson in the head which resulted in his death. Taylor sued for $500.00. |

On March 26, 1929 Globe and Rutgers Fire Insurance Company insured Henry House for a 1927 Packard Limousine against theft and pilferage. On 4-25-1929, the car was stolen from the plaintiff in the city of Memphis. When the car was returned to the plaintiff it was greatly damaged. Defendant refuses to pay damages after due notice of the claim under $500.00. |

Herbert Warren is the nephew of Clyde Warren. Herbert was the son of Clyde's brother, Claud Warren. Claud was "accidentally killed while riding a motorcycle" and died before his parents, Joseph and Cora Warren. Cora died on April 19, 1927, and left her estate to her surviving son, Clyde. Herbert claimed that Clyde convinced her "through under influence and fraud, to sign a last will and testament" leaving her estate to him. Herbert, as his father's sole heir, sought half of the estate. |

This was two cases tried together to recover part of the purchase price of two trucks that the plaintiff purchased from the defendants. The defendants retained the titles, repossessed the trucks, and resold them "without complying with the requirements of the Conditional Sales Law." |
