Butcher (and Peter Sharp & Co. as security) over 2 notes owed by Isaac, who then died, after which Lambden revived suit against Haston, believing he had bound himself as security for debt, which he denied Case related to 2 other cases, one found in ET Box 1158 (Peter Sharp & Co. et al. v. John Lambden) & the other found in ET Box 1121 (John Lambden v. John Sharp & Allen Hurst).

Additional defendants: Turney's heirs - James Turney, Elizabeth Turney Hopkins, Lacey Turney, Polly Turney, and Charlotte Turney. Turney had been granted 500 acres by the state of NC (prior to the establishment of TN). The deeds on this land seem to have either not been filed, or filed improperly. Case seeks to settle estate, debts, and land ownership.

Dyer sued Yates for coming on his land & cutting timber, splitting rails & building fence w/o his consent. Both parties claimed title to disputed land through state grant No. 8284 (entry 2457) to Thomas Lloyd. Dyer then relies on Lloyd's will & subsequent deed from Lloyd's son Robert to Dyer, while Yates relies on deed from Lloyd to Yates.Case questions land boundaries.
