Farnsworth sued Fowler & Guinn to collect on $65.70 judgment & $32.17 judgment Graham recovered against them in 1840 before he died. Court ruled in Farnsworth's favor, but Fowler (who didn’t attend trial) asked for relief, claiming he was recovering from having been run over by a wagon. He argued judgments were too old, he doesn't remember them, & if they existed he would've paid them. |

At the time of sale, defendant led plaintiff to believe tract contained 20-30 acres (at $1.50/acre). Plaintiff stated she paid $11 later. Defendant refused to give title, and had informed Rebecca that she had to surrender the land. |

Dyke says Scott owed him money for horses, mules, merchandise & for work done for him hauling flour to Knoxville & bacon to Greenville, SC. Bill came into Johnson's hands; dispute whether he held it on Scott's behalf or his own. Dyke returned from the South in Jan 1857. Witnesses: James Butler (Dyke's waggoner); Wm Bolinger (lived with Scott, Summer 1856); Abram Johnson (Thomas' son). Court ruled in Dyke's favor. |

Pla. is a merchant located in Greene County. His store and merchandise, which were insured by the Def., were destroyed in a fire. The Def. charges that the Pla. willfully burned the store himself and refused to honor the insurance policy. Plaintiff is noted to live 17 miles from Greeneville and 4 miles from Romeo on Gap Creek Road, or Horton Highway. The Plaintiff's building was the only one in the community, which was comprised mostly of farmers. |

Dispute arose when Dr. Alexander Williams (now dec.) claimed part of 2-acre tract was his. Both Wrights & Dr. Williams claim title through original land grants to James Patterson.
