O. W. Helms was driving a car while on business for Cosmopolitan Life Insurance Company when he struck and killed Allen Jordan, of whose estate Mattie Sharp is the administratrix. Helms abandoned the car and reported it stolen. Jordan had been living with and supporting Sharp while married to Maud Colvin. Cosmopolitan attempts to absolve themselves by stating they do not require their employees to travel by car. |

Plaintiff Hickman Jones, an African-American female, sued to recover monies paid defendant on insurance premium. Charfes defendant deliberately misrepresented its policies & benefits. Jones took out insurance on her boarder, Kelly Coachman, having been misled into believing that she would receive his death benefits. Suit arises from company informing her that she has no "insurable interest". Hickman unrelated to Coachman. In applying for policy she claimed to be his cousin. |

Amsy Wolfe died from a head wound sustained in a fall. Emma claimed that a basal skull fracture caused death, but 2 doctors testified that the gash was not fatal. After Amsy was in the casket, the doctors again examined his head. They found a depression near the base of the skull but could not say if it was natural or the result of a severe blow. Testimony: J.
