A previous judgment was against McClure, now amount due is contested R. McClure was partner with W.D. McClure under name of W.D. McClure & Co. JP ruled that R. McClure was not a partner at time debt incurred, so not responsible. JP further ruled against W.D. McClure, a judgment of $401 plus costs. |

Plaintiff, William E. Baird brought suit against M. V. Allman and J. B. Allman, defendants, as executors of George T. Allman's estate, to settle an unpaid debt of $2000.00 incurred by George T. Allman before his death. In 1886, the lower court of Marshall County found for the defendants, citing that the debt incurred was personal and not against them. Case seems to continue in William E. Baird v. M.V. & J.B. Allman, exe. Of George T. Allman, dec., et al. in MT 783. |
