Lucy Harris was administrator for estate of Benjamin Harris. Her affidavit was taken in Williamson County. Depositions were taken from Thomas Draper, Ossa Pankey and John Kirby who resided in Smith County. There was a debt related to a horse in Pittsylvania County, VA and Alexander Brown said it was fraudulent. Daniel Sullivan one of the defendants lived in Lynchburg, VA and was not a citizen of Tennessee.

Involves the Brittain Goodwin estate. Several slaves mentioned by name: Lucy, Liddy, Jack (a "good stout boy"), Elijah, Sophy, Harry, Eleck, Winny, Dinah, Lidda, Beverly [?], George, and Lige. Some slave values stated. In one passage, it is noted that Bell believed he had the right to do w/his wife's property as he pleased. Page is missing.

Relates to a tract of land on Brown's Creek, part of the estate of William Tait, dec., and the estate of his wife, Margaret C. Tait, who died a week after him. Executors of William Tait: James Gordon, Robert T. Walker, Robert Bell, John McNairy, Margaret C. Tait. Executors of Margaret C. Tait: Robert Bell, George Bell, John McNairy. Robert and George Bell were her brothers, John McNairy was a brother-in-law.
