In 1934, the defendant entered into a contract with Maymead K. Crowe, the plaintiff's daughter, for a policy worth $500 payable to the plaintiff. M. K. Crowe later became completely disabled by a disease while under the policy, later dying in 1937. Due notice of her death was provided for the defendant, but they refused to pay the benefits from the policy to the plaintiff who now files to recover the funds plus 25% statutory penalty. Includes appeal. |
