Annie Brown was the widow of George Brown. This case involved a dispute between her and her stepchildren over the interests and rights to a hardware business owned by the said George Brown, deceased.

Thomas Person, a Rev. War soldier was to receive 960 acres. The heirs sold land to Brice M. Garner on Norris Creek, Lincoln County. Thomas Shute was not sure he could locate the land. The heirs of Caleb Hewitt believed that they owned part of same land. An agreement between Thomas Dillon and Thomas Shute to survey 21,580 acres of Military land is also enclosed. This came out of Thomas Armstrong office where the Middle District of land was laid out after the Revolutionary War.

Plaintiff was the executor of the estate of Sarah K. McFarland dec. (also spelled McFarlin) and introduced a document purporting to be McFarland's last will and testament. Defendants denied the document's validity on the grounds that it was not attested to as required by law. Newspaper fragments counted as two pages.

Caroline Johnson, the widow of Leroy Coleman claims she has not been properly given her rights to the estate as stated in his will

William M. Orr died having filed a will, leaving the bulk of his estate to his wife, Mary Ann. The widow then died intestate, and this suit was filed by heirs of the Orrs to legally settle their rights to the residue of the estate.

The defendants are the executors of Asa Delozier dec. who was the husband of Caroline Delozier. The plaintiff is challenging the will of her late husband.

The defendant, Bryan, was administrator to Daniel Young, deceased.

Add'l pls: C.W. Barrett, E.S., G.D., & C.M. Monroe, Moses G. & Sophia M. Copp, H.S. & Susan D. Smith, George W. & Anna S. Eastman, and Louisa S. Monroe. Barrett was widowed by Samuel B. Barrett of Boston, her children's father was Edmund Monroe. Barrett owned 20k acres of land at his death, leaving them to his widow, who divided & sold them to Edmund Monroe, who then died intestate. Conflicting deeds were discovered. Suit was filed to settle estate & land ownership.

Estate of Henry Butts, father of Charles and Henry James Butts. When Henry Butts died, his wife and Charles Butts step-mother Annie D. Butts entered a last will and testament into probate that left everything to her save for $5 each to Charles and his brother. Charles claims the will is false. He claims that if his dad did sign it that he didn't know what he was signing because he could neither read or write. Annie married Abner Cannon and then passed away, leaving everything to him.

Both Ralston and Hutchinson were administrators of James Reid, deceased.

Estate of T. S. Jackson, Sr.

Margaret Cooper is the wife of I. C. Cooper dec. This case involves a note given by the plaintiff to Cooper before his death promising to pay to the plaintiff $200 in gold. Plaintiff is seeking payment by the estate. Case file notes that Plaintiff's parents died when he was a child and at one time he lived with his uncle Turner Qualls. Case file notes that at the time of the trial, Dillard Qualls is 28 or 29.
