Additional Plaintiffs: William Duncan, John M. Bass and Samuel J. Keith. Plaintiffs were owners of lots in the "Hermitage Addition," to Nashville. Plaintiffs sold to defendant lots 1, 2, and 3 in block J of the Hermitage Addition. Recorded in book no. 57, pages no. 42 and 43 in the Registers office of Davidson County, Tennessee. Plaintiffs claim the defendant attempted to repudiate the purchase of said lots when the Nashville real estate market went down.

View Entry 1889 E. P. Hobbs v. M. A. Spencer & T. J. Timble Grundy Land and Title Dispute

Plaintiff accuses the defendants of unjustly holding his property. The land in question is fronted on Altamont Street in Tracy City, Tennessee and is described as the southeast part of lot 203.

View Entry 1889 James B. Rogers in error v. Isabella Caldwell Greene Land and Title Dispute

Caldwell accused Rogers of unlawfully entering and detaining a tract of land to which she claimed legal right of possession. The circuit court granted her the legal right to possession.

View Entry 1889 Roadman Herrell in error v. Charles Brooks et al. Grainger Land and Title Dispute

Charles Brooks and John Dalton sued Roadman Herrell to recover a tract of land in the 11th district of the Grainger County.

View Entry 1889 Vitus Nagle v. George W. Hall Franklin Land and Title Dispute

Nagle [alt. spelled Nagel] and Hall had made a contract in 1887 in which Nagle rented out his farm to Hall with stipulations regarding timber and crops. Separate contract made in 1888 for different tract of land. Nagle had demanded Hall surrender possession of buildings and premises to him. In a pending case, judgment was given to Nagle for possession of land, which would be done unless this court halted those proceedings. Judge ruled in favor of def't in both cases.
