Kimbro, exe. of the estate of J. B. Kimbro, alleged that Haynes owed her money in the sum of six hundred and fifty dollars. Kimbro had leased a farm to Haynes, whom failed to pay rent for his time occupying the property. This suit is an appeal filed by Haynes in opposition of the original suit.

Lease contract dispute.

Plaintiff was renting room from defendant while working as a contractor for the Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad. When presented with bill, plaintiff called some of the charges exorbitant.

Manier sued the defendants for $5,000 for the use and occupation by them of a house and lot on Summer Street on the corner of Capitol Avenue from January 1863 to February 1866.

Dispute concerned rental of furniture by the plaintiff from the defendant.

This dispute revolves around the rent payment for a store on N. Water St. in Gallatin TN the plaintiff occupied as of Sept 1, 1877. Rent was $250 per yr., with clause if store destroyed, rent agreement would cease. The store burned down in 1880. Defendant claims there was no disaster clause & regardless, the original contract had expired & he is due rent for year 1880 of $320. Plaintiff had paid this as part of previous judgment, but appeals to have rent from date of fire returned.

Additional defendants: Henry Barker and Lucille Barker Morrison. Defendants leased a tract of land to Merman for $50 a month. Merman had paid off every month and asked if rent could be dropped to $35 a month temporarily due to the Depression, which J.M. Barker Jr. agreed to. He later informed Pla. that he rented property to someone else even when Pla. offered to pay the $120 unpaid balance. Pla. sought certiorari against def. for possession of land from their earlier unlawful detainer case.

Plaintiff rented land from defendants but they did not own title to the land. Additional Cause of Action: Breach of Contract.

R.E. and B.G. Lee executors of the last will and testament of their father to recover rent notes from Barosso for three story building at Main and Poplar Streets in Memphis; $375 per month for 36 notes

Maydwell acted as a rental agent for his mother Sophia. The premises involved were located in the "tenderloin" or "red-light district" of Memphis. Saunders leased the house "for the purpose of keeping an immoral resort…" The Maydwells stated that the rent was due on the 1st of each month; Lizzie said the custom had been to pay rent when they sent for it. Saunders claimed that real reason Maydwells brought suit was so that Sophia could dispossess her in favor of Wm.'s girlfriend whom he "kept" at the house.

Marrs owes Sowell $125.25 for rent on the land of plaintiff

R.C. Brinkley rented a house in Memphis to N.J. Wiggin and A.J. Francisco (both of Nashville).

Rosyln Sachs is the plaintiff's wife. The plaintiffs purchased a property and notified the current tenants that they were required to find other lodging. The defendant notified the previous owner that he was having difficulties finding another place to go and the previous owner granted him an extension without rent. The plaintiffs were not informed of this deal, and filed the bill to recover rent from the defendant.
