Additional defendants listed in file. Plaintiffs are sued for damages in the sum of $10,000 for trespass with force and arms to his person and took property. Plaintiff believes the defendants will fraudulently dispose of his property.

The plaintiff in error was accused of obstructing travel by building a fence across a public road. Exhibit materials include a hand-drawn plat map depicting the properties of the plaintiff, George Taylor, and P. and L. Hatmaker. Said lands lie near the Clinch River.

The State charged the defendant with 6 counts of illegally selling liquor within four miles of a school. Witnesses claimed they got the liquor from the "blind tiger" house and its "operative" that was under the employ, or a partner of, the defendant. "Blind tiger" or "blind pig" were terms used for a place where liquor is sold illegally such as a speakeasy.

Willis accepted a deposit of $1537.39 from Charles F. Eager. At that time, Willis knew that the Knoxville Banking & Trust Company was insolvent. The argument is based on the interpretations of the Bank Law of 1911 and the Constitution. This law states that it is a felony to accept a deposit, as an officer of a financial institution, known to be insolvent.

White accused of disturbing a congregation by "going drunken into and at said congregation" & "vomiting from drunkenness in the presence of the said congregation" & so doing "in contempt of religion to the manifest corruption of public morals." Jury found White guilty as charged.
