At the time of the accident, he was employed as a fireman by the railway and he claimed that the incident was caused by a defective coupler. The circuit court awarded the fireman $500. |

Bowman had borrowed money from Carr, but Carr died before he could collect the debt. Ethan Hurst administered Carr's estate and attempted to collect for it. Bowman entered evidence in the form of a receipt--signed by Carr--stating that the debt had been paid. Receipt, a scrap of paper, was attested by [illegible] M. Plaintiff complains that the train engineer failed to blow warning whistles and stop the train in time to avoid the plaintiff. The plaintiff received severe injuries to his leg and hip and claims he is unable to work. |

Bowman) claims defendant was not a "good wife" and that he did not send her away and that charges of adultery are untrue. He charges her with adultery with names. |
