Brown was a tenant of Baring and paid rent, and Estess rented from Baring in 1862. Apparently Estess attempted to take ownership of the land but had no deed, and was ejected. |

Not all of the bequests were paid from the estate, and the suit suggests selling some of the widow's life estate to fulfill the bequests. |
