Cora Distretti's husband Louis died on December 6, 1926. They had a life insurance policy in place with the defendant but the defendant refused to pay the whole amount of the policy after his death. Plaintiff sued for $4000, the value stated of the policy. Louis had been shot by two "bandits" that had robbed a store he owned and died from the wounds. Exhibits that are supposed to be attached to pages 63 and 64 are missing.

Additional Plaintiffs: Carrie May Wynne, Katie Ilma & Zettie Clark & Charles Clark, Jr. Plaintiffs children of Charles E. Clark, passenger conductor on I. C. Railroad. Suit to collect on $5000 life insurance policy taken out by Clark 21 Jan. 1899 & payable to his children. Clark accidentally shot to death by Mark Shanley at Montgomery Park on 8 April 1899; family did not know of insurance policy. Company refuses to pay on grounds that it did not receive notification of his death in stipulated time.

The first 263 pages of this case are missing. The question was over the ownership of cotton lost in a fire.

Willis sued claiming she was owed payment from a life insurance policy for Janie Smothers. Amount sued for was $250.00.

Fernandis sued for debt under a contract of insurance, claiming defendant did not pay her the benefit owed upon the death of her husband, Ben Fernandis, who died in 1912. Amount sued for was $350 plus interest. Housed in 2 folders.

Breach of insurance

Felix Kennedy, a member in good standing with Supreme Circle of Friends of the World, was suing the company to recover on a health policy. The amount Kennedy was suing for $5.00 a week for 16 weeks, or $80, as he was sick during this time period and, thus, disabled and covered under his health insurance plan.

Plaintiff claims his policy was rescinded without cause.

Bab Harrell, deceased, held insurance policy for $1,600.00 against death or injury arising from external, violent and accidental means. Harrell was shot and killed by Herbert McNeal.
