The State charged Robinson with the "detestable and abominable crime of buggery with a beast, to wit, a cow to the great displeasure of almighty God, to the great scandal of all human kind and against the peace and dignity of the State." There is specific testimony about the crime scene and circumstances of the incident. Robinson denied the charge and said he laid down drunk off the road, getting manure on himself. The circuit court sentenced him to 5 years of hard labor at the state penitentiary. |

Luna sued Pyland for killing his dog worth $15. Court ruled in favor of Luna for $10 and costs of suit. Pyland appealed. Defendant stated that dog pilfered meat from his father's smokehouse who told him to shoot the dog. Court found the dog was a nuisance and of no value and gave judgment against the plaintiff. Luna appealed. |

Webb indicted for Failure to Settle as Guardian because he willfully neglected to produce either a statement or an accounting of profits/disbursements of the estate of his minor ward, Lelia Sauders, or to appear in court as required. Opinion only. Defendant was convicted of unlawfully using and propelling by steam a traction engine over the public highways. There were 4 indictments: 2 for obstructing the road to the great nuisance of the public and 2 for running the engine without putting up posters as the Statute provided. Mitchell was found guilty on all counts and was fined $25 for each offense and sentenced to 3 months imprisonment. |
