Armstead Tally said Quinn repeatedly (3 times/day @ night, on Sunday) "threw down" rail fence on lot on which Tally lived, yelling as he did so. Lot on "Evans tract of land" that old W. Evans owned before he died. Much discussion of heirs, who owned what. Quinn said he had right to do so as fence obstructed his way to a spring. Add. Def: Matilda Evans, wife of William Evans. Unclear what became of her, but jury found Quinn guilty, sentenced him to 6 hours in jail & a fine of $2.50,which he appealed to SC. |

Additionally, a lien was held on the account by Henry Zelmer as a vendor to Gordon. The Gregories were accused of destroying twenty five panels of fencing on William Jesse "Jabe" Gregory's land. |
