State charged Sam Holland with the murder of Willie Wright when the victim was at the home of Suzie McClannan, who first confessed to the murder for fear of Holland. The circuit court sentenced Holland to a life of hard labor at the state penitentiary. There are two executive letters that seem unrelated to the Holland case: One from the State of Tennessee authorizing an agent of Arkansas, W. R. Cain, to apprehend fugitive Cincinnati Pearson, the other is from the State of Arkansas appointing said agent. |
