Charles Morgan ran a plantation in Kentucky. Jeremiah Morgan, dec. executed a contract to sell half of a plot of land to Charles Morgan. Jerimiah then died leaving a wife, Mary, and heirs Armistead & Susannah. The issue with the land was not settled when Jeremiah died, so this suit was filed to settle the rightful land ownership. In 1805 William Stephenson purchased land in Smith & Sumner counties from the Turpin brothers. Part of his payment was a horse, which soon died. Stephenson died in 1808 in Sumner County leaving widow Esther and daughter Irene. Esther married to John Irwin Dr. Wilson Yandle was admr. of the estate. Yandle & the widow sold the land, & Yandle bought most of it cheaply. Conflicting claims for the land were held by King Carr, John Carr & James Oglesby. Irene sued Yandle protesting the land was her inheritance. |

During a Sheriff's sale Harris purchased property that had formerly belonged to Robert King. Following the sale, Gale and Harris entered a partnership of ownership of the property legalized with a written contract. Gale went to New Orleans, & Harris sold part of the land without his knowledge. |

William Blackman married Polly McKinney & received as a gift an enslaved woman called Phillis. Isham Uzzell then married Blackman's daughter Ann, & rec'd as a gift Winnah & Rachel, the children of Phillis. Douglas and a long list of petitioners wished for a good new road to be installed between Gallatin and Nashville. The road would pass through Rawling's land. Rawlings insisted that a jury to view the path of the road in order to make a proper decision on its path. |

John Armstrong gave Robertson a military land grant in 1784 for 5,756 acres. Armstrong died intestate with no heirs other than his brothers Martin in Tennessee, & Thomas in Ulster, Ireland. Matthew Brooks was named admr. of the estate. At his death, Armstrong owed William Lewis money, and Lewis sued the estate to recover. The land was sold to multiple parties including Campbell for the debt. Robertson sued to recover his land. Cause of Action; scire facias, fi fa, Venditioni exponas. |
