Wolf, a poor man, was employed as a miner when he decided to try farming. He made enough money to buy a horse, & went to buy Tedder's mare. The mare had a white speck in her eye that Tedder said was caused by hay getting in her eye. After purchase, the mare was blind within 6 weeks. Tedder had tried to sell the mare before, & she was always returned because of her eyes. Wolf sued for fraud.
