Notes / Description:

In Dec. 1847, White recovered a judgment against William C. Mayfield the security of one James T. Norville for $624.50. Mayfield was the only security of Norville. Norville claimed that a large part of judgment was upon claims that were for usury upon bound money and he therefore obtained a injunction in March 1848, restraining the collection of $305.24 of that judgment upon the grounds of usury as charged.
