Other plaintiffs John Cochran. Mary Lay sued for $25,000 in damages following the death of her husband, Homer, in an auto accident. Cochran hit the truck containing passenger Homer Lay, colliding and causing the truck to turn over with Homer beneath it. Homer worked for B. D.
