On 26 Jan. 1898 plaintiff boarded boat belonging to def.. in Helena, AR & severely injured his knee when he fell from the gangplank while disembarking. States that gangplank was several feet above the ground rather than resting on it. Defendant maintains plaintiff's injuries not as severe as claimed & he left boat without waiting for gangplank to be placed into position. Plaintiff had logging camp in Chicot Co., AR.
