4 folders. Frank Campagna was a fire fighter for the City of Memphis. The Buckeye Cotton Oil Company was an Ohio business that had a plant just outside Memphis. On the night of September 8, 1918, a fire broke out at the Buckeye Cotton Oil Company. Even though they were outside the city limits, the Memphis Fire Department responded. Campagna was killed when part of a roof of a shed like structure and a heavy iron pipe collapsed. It is alleged that the shed was "carelessly and negligently constructed."
