Plaintiff had made a rental contract with defendant whereby he would work for him for 50 cents a day & raise his crops in exchange for a house to live in, a garden, pasture for 2 cows, and a portion of each crop. Contract also stipulated how the expenses of cultivating the crops would be divided between them. Defendant abided by the contract until 1 June when he drove plaintiff off of his land with an ax. Plaintiff suing for $1500 damages caused by defendant's breach of contract.
