Other plaintiffs: North Chattanooga Street Car Company. Nichols owned a lot on Main St. in Hill City, Tenn. While installing street car line, companies changed the grade of road so that level went from 18 in. below Nichols's property to 7-7.5 ft. below it. Jury awarded him $400 in damages & interest in 1890. Companies appealed.
