The plaintiff charged that John R. Branner fraudulently and without authority placed 100 bonds of $1000 each on deposit with C. Porrell Green & Co., an insolvent banking firm, and for failing to withdraw them upon knowing this as well as for converting bonds for his own and his brother's use.
