The Easleys married on July 20, 1919, in South Fulton. They lived in Fulton, Ky., after their marriage until Frank found employment in Dyersburg. Ruth moved to Dyersburg for a while before taking their son, Frank Jr., to Fulton, Ky., to visit her father. Mr Easley reported that "she has been there now between 2 & 3 months and refuses to return to him in Dyersburg or live with him or to see him or let him visit or see their only child." He also claimed that Mrs. Easley aborted their 2nd child.
