In 1880s, Lucinda's dad Matthew Johnson bought 10-acre Ocoee District tract, on which she, mom Maria, siblings Silas & Granville worked. Fruits of labor used to pay for land; Silas was to deliver money & get deed, but had it made in his name only. Other sibs (Elijah, Paul, Peter) died. Granville died (smallpox) 1882, Matthew in 1886, Maria in 1904. Silas & Lucinda only remaining heirs; suit brought to resolve dispute over land ownership. Def.
