Connell & Gossett were partners in mercantile business under the name of Gossett & Connell, executed note to Darden, exe. of Huges, dec. due for $747.91 and Scott became their security to note. Gossett claimed insolvency and his partnership had been dissolved. In 1858 Connell made a conveyance of his property for his creditors. Creditors believed this to be fraudulent.
