This is an appeal. Original bill saw indictment of King on charges of assault with intent to commit murder in the second degree. On Oct. 27 1887, King said to have attacked & wounded Reuben Sullivan with a knife. Sullivan rented land from King. Sullivan stated he was hauling corn for King who confronted him in the field & stabbed him multiple times incurring shoulder, arm, torso & abdomen wounds. Argument possibly over percentage of crop each was due. King sentenced to 18 mos. In TN Penitentiary
