Plaintiff was hired to be overseer of a farm in Philadelphia, Tenn. To be paid $300 per year, but defendant Cozart told him he had to be a stockholder to work for the company and that he had to purchase $2000 stock. Plaintiff sued defendants for $570 in unpaid wages and for fraud regarding the value of the stock he was forced to purchase as part of the agreement. Additional defendants: A. W. Cozart, Al Cozart, Jasper Billings, Pearce Carter, and Gilbert Keen.
