W.C. Hurt, admr. of A.M. Morgan, dec., sold to Hughes Lots 25, 26 & 28 in Holts Addition to Nashville, fronting Hamilton Street, on which Hughes intended to build "cheap houses," in exchange for 6 notes totaling $1,100. Hurt finished admin. & died. Hughes didn't pay, believing Hurt might not have good title to the lots when he conveyed them. Notes passed to minor heirs & guardians sued. Morgan left widow Sallie H. Morgan (Hurt was Sallie's dad) & children Calvin A., Andrew P., & Sallie F. Morgan.
