Add. defendant: Alfred P. Ramsey, Sheriff. In 1859, the defendant sold and conveyed by deed to the plaintiff an one J. Holmes Agnew several tracts of land for the price of $7,500. J. H. Agnew later sold his interest in the land to Samuel J. Agnew, who then conveyed the same to the plaintiff. Alley later filed a bill in the court against the same parties to enforce an alleged lien as vendor for $4,000 of the purchase money alleged as unpaid.
