The plaintiff sued the defendant companies for $2000 in damages for keeping a large number of dangerous and improperly maintained wires near the corner of Georgia Avenue and 7th Streets in Chattanooga. The electricity from a broken wire killed the plaintiffs horses and burned the saddles/harnesses they were wearing. Conner also requested the wires be declared a nuisance and proper action be taken to address them.
