Other defendant: D.E. Bomar. Goodlow and Bobo, both African American, entered into an oral contract, later made written, where Goodlow purchased 1/2 interest in a tract of timber, paying Bobo (who owned the land) $50.00 in cash. Bomar held the mortgage. The contract stated Goodlow would work the tract and get timber, and that timber would be delivered to the railroad station in Paris, TN. Bobo contracted to sell timber to another party, preventing Goodlow from selling to railroad as allowed in contract.
