William B. Latimer died in 1869 leaving his widow Naomi living on their farm in Humphreys County. A debt was due to Collier and a cow and calf were replevin against the debt. The suit argued that Latimer did not own her husband's debt, but owned the livestock, and therefore should not have the animals taken.
