Defendant Hines originally sued the plaintiff for $25,000, alleging negligence in the death of William Walker. Walker, an employee of the railway, was struck & injured by a train as he was inspecting cars. He died 25 Nov. 1931. Train that struck him had not employed warning headlights or sounded a whistle.
