Anderson who had been engaged in armed rebellion against the United States and therefore lost his land due the Confiscation Acts passed in 1861 & 1862. Plaintiff sold the land to Hardin and Hardin transferred his note on lot to James Guardenhire and Guardenhire has demanded a writ of possession from the Clerk & Master and is threatening to have Gamble kicked off the land.
