Plaintiff was the administratrix of her husband, John H. Bean, a railway brakeman who was killed on the job. Bean claimed that her husband was working atop a train when it went under a low bridge, causing him to strike beams projecting from the bridge. He was injured so badly that he suffered great physical pain and mental anguish before he died a few hours later.
