Notes / Description:

Complainants under the firm name of Demoville and Company were regularly licensed druggists doing business as such and from time to time sold as medicine only liquor and so were liable to a tax as liquor dealers under laws of 1881-2-3-4-5 and 6. They believed since they sold liquor as medicine and not as a beverage they ought not to be taxed under said laws as liquor dealers. The State and County of Davidson filed a suit and this is the appeal.
