Deceased Sampson David, left specific instructions in his will as to the emancipation of his slaves. He asks that the enslaved workers be hired out in order to earn the amount necessary to transport them to a state or colony where slavery was outlawed. Martha died the next year intestate, & without settling her husband's estate. The enslaved people were taken possession by an heir; David's request deemed illegal. Incomplete case; cuts off in mid-sentence.
