Notes / Description:

Samuel Orr, father of the plaintiff's wife Margaret, died as the owner of 140 acres of land and was indebted to the defendant in the sum of $30. The defendant reported that a portion of the land would have to be conveyed to him to settle the debt, but the plaintiff Margaret claims she was ignorant of the proper ways to convey or deed land. After she wed the plaintiff, she heard rumors that the defendant conned her into deeded a larger amount of the land than owed and her husband confirmed it later.
