On Sept 1, 1887, defendant said to have carried a 'belt pistol, pocket pistol, and revolver pistol' openly and in the hand. First trial ended in mistrial, as jury was deadlocked. Next term of court defendant found guilty as charged & fined $50. Defense agued that he carried said pistols for lawful purposes, such as hunting squirrel & deer.
