Defender originally indicted and found guilty of receiving & concealing a stolen Pontiac Sedan worth $700 in June 1934. Car belonged to M. M. Vesey. One of the state's witnesses, John T. George, was himself a car thief & had sold stolen cars to McClellan with whom he had an arrangement. McClellan, who operated the North Carolina Motor Co., sold the stolen vehicles to unsuspecting purchasers. Three folders.
