Add. defendants: Minor children of the deceased and C.H. Newman. The estate left by J. Newman was in debt to the sum of $12,000 and the personal property and slaves were not enough equity to cover the costs. Real estate willed to C.H. Newman as a widow and the children had to be sold to repay all of the debts.
