Rodgers had sold and gave the deeds to 2 tracts of land to Lackey for a total of $13,000. Rodgers sued Lackey for $6500 in notes which were to be paid in current funds. However, Lackey forced Rodgers to accept the $6500 in worthless and illegal Confederate money. Rodgers demands the land to be sold and proceeds meet balance of $6500 owed to him.
